VegDRI Highlights for 11/16/2015

Western States

Most areas in the western states are out of season. Areas where the VegDRI map is still showing dry vegetation conditions are the Cascade Mountains through Oregon and into southern Washington, which are showing moderate drought; and the mountain areas in northern California, which are showing moderate to severe drought.

Great Plains

The growing season has come to an end across most of the plains. The VegDRI map for the southern plains is showing dry to moderate drought vegetation conditions in the Big Bend region of Texas.

The growing season has come to an end across most of the Midwest. The areas of the VegDRI map that remain in season show no vegetative drought.

The growing season has come to an end across most of the Northeast. In the southern tip of Maine, southern New Hampshire, eastern Massachusetts and Long Island, vegetation conditions are drier than usual.
